Bluewater is pleased to announce construction has commenced on our latest Bluewater 420 Centre Cockpit for Newcastle based clients Greg & Heidi Turton. They chose a Bluewater 420 Centre Cockpit after a year of extensive research looking at every available option and concluded that the Bluewater offered the best features, build quality, and value for their extended liveaboard and cruising aspiration.
“My initial interest in evaluating a Bluewater Cruising Yacht was purely practical. I wanted a yacht with far greater structural strength than any of the typical production yachts, an encapsulated keel, a skeg hung rudder and a high angle of vanishing stability - in other words a genuine cruising yacht. Once I had established the practical issues, my decision to purchase was purely emotional. I just loved the build quality and finish levels of the Bluewater 420's that I inspected. I look forward to launch day although I am also enjoying the building process where I am welcome to drop in anytime to check on the progress.”
This will be followed by a Bluewater 420 Raised Saloon which will feature an all new solid dodger and bimini design. This version will feature a triple cabin layout with forward storage cabin and day head. This couple intends to cruise the world with their children and need a yacht that can get them there safely and in comfort.
“Looking at all options including catamarans we realised we wanted a yacht that could meet all our requirements including seaworthiness, bulletproof construction, tankage capacity, storage capacity, open living area, 3 cabins so everyone has their own space, a yacht that can be berthed overseas economically, a yacht that we can handle ourselves, and one that we can maintain without too much fuss. This design is proven and gives you confidence you would not have on anything less. The hardest choice has been between Centre Cockpit or Raised Saloon.”
